CWOMAP have been appointed by local councils whose communities neighbour the ‘7 Villages’ sites in Gilston, East Hertfordshire. Our independent work and reporting on behalf of our appointing councils seeks to provide an independent view of training and employment opportunities created due to local construction work. Planning for 10,000 new homes across Seven Villages has been approved in the Harlow and Gilston area of East Herts. Alongside new homes, the development includes facilities for business, retail, sports, leisure, healthcare, and education. The sustainability strategy for this construction work outlines plans to generate a fair and sustainable economic growth for the local area, jobs creation with sustainable local employment supported throughout construction and in operation, and the stimulation of local economic activity through measures such as local procurement and apprenticeships.
